About Thomas O'Meara
I have been practicing law in Austin since 1977. After many years of a litigation-focused practice I have changed that focus to Estate Planning and Probate. I am no longer maintaining a downtown office, so I frequently meet at clients’ homes or offices or at other places convenient for the client. I am able to offer services for much less than I did in the past. I hope that my clients will continue to consult me about the important issues in their lives. If I unable to personally assist them I will recommend appropriate professionals.
Tom is married since 1971 to Martha “Mo” O’Meara. Father of Jessica Stathos. Three grandchildren. Member of Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church. Served on committees of Mission Presbytery. 2009 Foundation for the Homeless Community Service Award. 2010 Frank Newton Texas Bar Probono Award. 2012 David Walter AUSTIN Bar Foundation Community Service Award. Volunteer at American Gateways, Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas, and Austin Bar Veterans’ Clinic. Texas Bar Probono College.
Graduate of University of Texas Law School, United States Air Force Academy, Chaminade High School, St. Brigid School.
