About Steven Ekker

Attorney Steven Ekker began practicing law in Illinois in 1993. Since then, he has distinguished himself throughout Illinois courtrooms for outstanding legal services in a wide variety of practice areas. Focusing on civil litigation, Mr. Ekker is skilled in handling cases involving: personal injury; commercial and business disputes; real estate litigation; general civil litigation; divorce and family law; contract disputes; wage, salary, commission and other employment disputes; foreclosures; defamation; and, appeals.

With experience representing both sides of civil disputes, Mr. Ekker is able to effectively anticipate strategies from opposing counsel. He has a track record for success both in state and federal courts and is skilled in litigation, negotiation, arbitration, and mediation. He has successfully handled jury trials and bench trials throughout Illinois and his appellate work has resulted in both published and non-published opinions.

Believing in the importance of continuing legal education, Attorney Steven Ekker has authored materials published by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education and the DuPage County Bar Association Brief. He has also presented numerous seminars for clients and potential clients on a variety of legal matters.

Committed to the betterment of his community, Mr. Ekker has served multiple terms as a Director of the Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce & Industry and is currently the President of the organization. He is also the Vice President of Sugar Grove Corn Boil, NFP, the organization that plans the community's annual summer festival, having just completed a two-year term as its President as well.
