About Sharrard Owens

Texas-educated, Houston native Sharrard Owens has been an attorney with J.D. Silva & Associates since 2020, focusing his practice on personal injury and criminal defense litigation. Sharrard has worked in the legal industry since 2013, working at multiple noteworthy law firms in the region for his practice areas. He is a trial lawyer who has experience at every stage of litigation, from filing lawsuits through appeals. In addition to his work with J.D. Silva & Associates, he has also represented clients in cases involving civil litigation, business law, probate, and sports law.

Sharrard graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance in 2009. He earned his law degree from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2013. After law school, he obtained a Master of Laws in Sports Law from St. John’s University School of Law.

He is a client-focused and analytical attorney with extensive experience in negotiations and pre-litigation matters, successfully navigating individual clients through the legal process and making effective recommendations based on legal analysis and research. He is known for being consistent, patient, and professional, giving each new case the attention it deserves.

Sharrard is a member of the State Bar of Texas. He has also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and The Children’s Museum.
