About Ruth Chung

Prior to opening the Law Office of Ruth Chung, Ruth practiced exclusively in Matrimonial and Family Law with the Court Square Law Project, a sliding scale non-profit firm dedicated to helping New Yorkers of moderate means. While there, she appeared in Supreme and Family Courts in all five New York City boroughs.
During her time in law school, Ruth worked at a boutique matrimonial firm in Manhattan and participated in a family law clinic placement with the Legal Aid Society, Juvenile Rights Practice, Queens office. She also interned with Brooklyn Family Defense Practice, Lawyers for Children, and volunteered with the Access to Justice program, assisting those in Consumer Debt and Uncontested Divorce matters.
Ruth believes that all people should have access to legal services and offers options for those on a budget.
