About Robert Tharp

I am a founding partner of Meriwether & Tharp LLC, where we have been helping clients through difficult times for over 20 years. In my current role as a managing partner, I can assist more clients through our team of over thirty divorce attorneys in the Atlanta area.

We know that obtaining a divorce can be a difficult process. Not only do you have to navigate the legal complications surrounding equitable division, child support, alimony, and child custody, but you also have to deal with the emotional toll a divorce places on you and your family. Many of you have to manage this legal and emotional burden while continuing to maintain jobs, pay bills, taxi children to their extra-curricular activities, assist with homework, etc. That is why we decided to focus our entire practice on this one area of law. I have worked over the years to develop a system called the “M&T Way” that is designed to help the ever-growing number of members of Meriwether & Tharp’s “Atlanta Divorce Team” create a “wow” experience for its clients. I believe that an educated client makes better decisions and work to educate all clients (and potential clients) through our firm’s thousands of web pages, divorce guides, and videos, as well as writing my first book: The Georgia Divorce Guide. Internally, I work to improve the training of all attorneys and staff through extensive seminars, training, coaching, and white papers. The success of this program is measured by the fact nearly twenty different M&T lawyers have been selected by SuperLawyers, and M&T has placed in the Inc. Magazine 5000 Fastest Growing Companies 3 years in a row.
