About Regan Sweeney
I am a solo practitioner, based out of Portland, Maine, with a unique practice that is both local and international.
Locally, I represent and advise individuals and small businesses in a wide array of legal issues, including, but not limited to: landlord/tenant matters, real estate transfers, LLC and small business formation, and small business consulting.
Internationally, I provide legal advice and guidance to consumer product manufacturers, importers, distributors, and retailers, to ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. federal and state laws and regulations. As a former Trial Attorney with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, I represent companies in compliance and other matters before the CPSC, and provide the preventative advice and guidance to avoid those kinds of issues in the first place. (Please note that my practice involves consumer product safety, not consumer protection. I am not taking matters involving vehicle warranties, lemon laws, bad contractors, etc.)
I am currently serving as Co-Chair of the City of Portland's Rental Housing Advisory Committee, and continue to be a voting member of a number of ASTM committees responsible for drafting standards for consumer products and sporting goods.
I have deliberately kept my practice small and technologically nimble so that I can provide personalized attention and large-firm quality service to each of my clients, while keeping my rates reasonable. After all, we're all working from home these days, so you shouldn't be paying for a fancy office you'll never see.
I provide a free initial consultation to all prospective clients, so if you have a legal matter you have questions about, or you think one might be in your future, feel free to contact me via www.regansweeneylaw.com,
[email protected], or (207)370-0720.
