About Matthew Stookey

As a former member of the Utah Air National Guard, Matthew takes the core value of "Service Before Self" very seriously. It lead him to serve his community as an attorney at Morris Sockle Posadas.

Matthew specifically went into family law following his role at a non-profit that helps families who go through hardship and trauma. He saw that for these people, having a devoted advocate who assisted them during tough legal proceedings made all the difference.

Matthew approaches cases with empathy and effective communication. He wants his clients to walk away feeling like their voices were heard in and out of the courtroom. He is a compelling litigator who is prepared to take on complex cases involving divorce, child custody, and property division.

Beyond the office, Matthew enjoys exploring Thurston County's hiking trails and local restaurants.
