About Mary Pajak

Mary Clements Pajak, Esq., has over 25 years of experience. She began her legal career clerking for the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts. She then practiced law for many years in the Private Client Department at Palmer & Dodge LLP (now Locke Lord Edwards LLP), concentrating in estate and trust planning and administration. From there she became Northeast Regional Manager of the Estate Settlement Department and served as Vice President at Boston Safe Deposit & Trust Company (now BNY Mellon). Attorney Pajak then practiced law with Mofenson Law Offices in Newton, MA; later, she was a Founding Partner of McWalter Pajak LLP in Concord, MA. In 2004, Attorney Pajak moved her firm back to Newton establishing Clements Pajak LLC; and in 2019 joined her firm with Pierce Atwood LLP in Boston. Attorney Pajak’s practice is concentrated in estate and trust planning and administration, advising clients regarding their wealth transfer options and wishes, helping clients through probate and estate tax return preparation, advising clients with respect to related tax matters, and pre- and post- nuptial agreements. She graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts (ALB), cum laude from Boston College Law School with a Juris Doctorate (JD), and from Boston University Law School with a Masters of Law in Taxation (LL.M.). She was a Lecturer in Law at New England Law/Boston where she taught Wills, Estates and Trusts Law, and a Guest Lecturer at Boston College Law School with respect to estate planning and administration. She is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts (1991), Maine (1991), the United States Tax Court (2004), and the United States Supreme Court (2012). She is a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council, the American Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association and the Maine Bar Association. She has been honored to be named Super Lawyer for many years.
