Lisa Ellis is the Principal of Ellis Law, LLC serving clients in Bellevue, WA and surrounding Puget Sound communities. Her practice focuses on estate planning, elder law, disability planning, long-term care planning, probate and estate administration. Lisa advises and prepares comprehensive estate plans for individuals and couples. She represents the interests of older persons and persons facing cognitive decline with disability planning, asset protection and long-term health care needs.
Lisa is a Seattle-area native. She received her undergraduate degree at Whitman College and law degree at The University of Oregon where she was an executive editor of The Oregon Law Review. After graduating from the University of Oregon School of Law, Lisa was an Attorney Advisor at the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), a position she entered through the U.S. Attorney General's Honors Program. Prior to entering private practice, she was a law clerk for the Honorable Robert H. Whaley at the U.S. District Court of Eastern Washington and worked for a mid-size law firm in Seattle. Well-versed in complex legal planning, she is known as a published author, presenter, and for her work navigating hundreds of family-based, employment-based and naturalization immigration cases towards approval.
Lisa is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and Washington Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She is rated 10.0 out of 10.0 on Avvo and was selected as a Rising Star by Washington Super Lawyers in 2011.
