About Lisa Davis
My practice includes both planning for individuals (estate planning and administration, elder law, planning for those with disabilities) and advising nonprofit organizations. Some items of note: I have been given the designation "Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation, after completing the Foundation's requirements. I am also a member of the Special Needs Alliance, an invitation-only organization dedicated to the concerns of individuals with disabilities and their families. I have been designated "Superlawyer" by my peers for many years, including among the top 25 women lawyers in the state in 2011, 2020, and 2021. And I am the co-author of The Elder Law Answer Book, Fourth Edition (Wolters Kluwer, updated annually), which covers a wide variety of estate planning, probate, and elder law topics in a useful Q&A Format. I advocate for the interests of elderly and disabled individuals as part of my membership with the CT chapter of the National Elder Law Foundation. I enjoy representing individuals of very modest means as well as those with multimillion dollar estates. All my clients are interesting and deserving of care, attention, and understanding. And as well as working on the problems of the living, I also enjoy handling estate and trust administration - carrying out the wishes of the dead and helping their survivors.
