Ms. Meyer practices in the areas of employment law, business litigation, health law and occupational licensure. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing with highest honors from Valdosta State University and her Juris Doctor cum laude from Campbell University where she received the Women in Law Award. She was also a member of the school’s National Trial Team. Ms. Meyer completed Trial Court Mediation Training in 1999 and is a Certified Mediator. Ms. Meyer participates as a faculty member for Campbell University School of Law Professionalism Course in cooperation with the North Carolina Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism. She is a guest lecturer on legal issues in nursing each semester at the Watts School of Nursing in Durham, North Carolina. She has also been a speaker at continuing education seminars for various organizations, including the University of North Carolina School of Nursing and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. Ms. Meyer practiced nursing for 19 years prior to entering the legal profession. In 1985, she was inducted as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She was listed in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges and is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa National Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the United Methodist Retirement Homes and is a member of the UMRH Ethics Committee.
