About Charles Brown

Charles "Charlie" Brown is a Louisville native and graduate of duPont Manual High School. He studied psychology at Bellarmine University and law at Valparaiso University School of Law. In fear of another Northwest Indiana winter, Charlie returned to Louisville after his graduation from law school.

After law school, Charlie was first a Staff Attorney for a family court judge, and after that an Associate Attorney in a Louisville law firm. Seeing ample opportunity for innovation in the practice of law, and with some encouragement from Dad, Charlie struck out on his own. Charlie focused on offering those seeking a divorce a cheap, flat-fee, quick, and private means of getting an uncontested divorce.

To Charlie’s surprise, his new solo practice lasted a month, then another month, and then years. Next thing he knew, Charlie met a like-minded fellow and formed Barrow Brown, PLLC. Charlie, and Hugh, continue to devote their practice to divorce and family law matters. With a demanding desire to innovate and creatively problem-solve, Charlie and Hugh continue to hone and improve their practice; always eager to hear from clients about the firm’s processes and service.

Charlie lives in Anchorage with his wife, daughter, and dog Kimo. When he’s not in the office, Charlie enjoys traveling, being outdoors, woodworking, music, and occasionally, the nectar of the bluegrass – bourbon.
