About Carla De La Cruz

Carla De La Cruz was born and raised in Puerto Rico. Carla has practiced family law in DFW and surrounding counties since 2017 and joined the Bogdanowicz Family Law team in 2020. She has experience in all areas of family law and is a native Spanish speaker.

Carla graduated from the University of Puerto Rico and later attended Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico School of Law. While in law school, she gained family law experience interning at the Child Support Offices in the District Court of Ponce, Puerto Rico. She further developed her skills at the Legal Aid Clinic working on custody matters and gaining trial experience while still in law school. Carla was licensed to practice law in Puerto Rico in February 2013.

She subsequently moved to Texas and completed the paralegal program at Southern Methodist University to better familiarize herself with Texas law. She became licensed to practice law in Texas in May 2017.

Carla grew up with very strong family values and was raised to always put family first. She values the importance of the family unit and is passionate about helping her clients through the difficult process. Carla strives to help her clients see the big picture even when it is not always clear.

Carla is a member of Attorneys Serving the Community, Dallas Bar Association, and Dallas Young Lawyers Association. Outside of the office, Carla enjoys spending time with her dog Mila, traveling, dancing, and cycling.
