About Brian Zimmet

Brian J. Zimmet received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in 1989 before graduating, magna cum laude, from Touro Law School in 1992. He was an editor of the Moot Court and recipient of the John S. Bainbridge award for excellence in advocacy. While in law school, he served as a law school judicial clerk for the Honorable Vincent R. Balletta of the Supreme Court, Appellate Division. Mr. Zimmet represents an array of clients primarily in the areas of real property (purchase and sales), probate, wills, trusts and estates. He has spoken at seminars on estate planning, probate and estate administration. He counsels clients on legal, financial and practical issues that arise in their daily activities. His background has given him a unique perspective on the problems faced by his clients which he uses to vigorously represent them. He is admitted to practice in the New York and New Jersey state courts as well as the United States Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is an active member of the New York Bar Association and serves as a member of the Real Estate Law section and Trust & Estates Law section. In his free time, Mr. Zimmet participates in a number of organizations which focus on advancing American foreign and domestic interests including the National Committee on American Foreign Policy, Washington Institute of Near Estate Policy, the Israel Policy Forum and the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste. He serves on the Board of Directors of his cooperative apartment building where he resides with his family in the city of New York.
