About Amy Smith
Amy Smith focuses her practice on real estate, contracts, criminal defense, and estate planning matters. She has represented large financial institutions, small businesses, and individuals alike. Amy has experience in complex civil litigation matters including: breach of contract disputes; home owner association (“HOA”) litigation; lender and servicer liability defense; patent infringement; telecommunications; title disputes; trademark infringement; and wrongful foreclosure defense. Plus, Amy has criminal law experience, having previously worked as both a Public Defender in Georgia and as a law clerk for the Nevada Attorney General’s Office.
Amy regularly represents clients at all stages of law practice, including business negotiations and transactional drafting, trial court litigation, and appeals. Amy is licensed to practice in all Nevada State Courts and the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. Amy is a member of the Howard D. McKibben American Inn of Court and a member of the Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys (SNAWA).
Amy enjoys volunteering her time to programs and organizations that further legal education. She regularly volunteers as a moot court and mock trial judge for high school, college, and law school advocacy competitions throughout the Las Vegas valley. Amy is also a Senior Attorney for the Clark County Law Foundation’s Trial by Peers program, where she works with middle and high school aged students to help keep them out of the juvenile justice system.
Amy earned her Bachelor’s degree Cum Laude from Dalton State College in Dalton, Georgia and her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida. While in law school, she participated in moot court; and at graduation she was recognized by the Florida State Bar for her extensive service to local government. Ms. Smith was also recognized for having completed more than 250 hours of pro bono legal work during her law school career.
