He also maintains an active practice successfully defending manufacturers in product liability cases. He has defended cases involving numerous products, including ladders, electrical motors, fans, table saws, radial arm saws, planers, power tools, cranes and pumps. He has also successfully defended and prosecuted cases in the commercial litigation field.

Jim has tried in excess of 65 cases to a conclusion, obtaining defense verdicts in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas.
Jim earned his B.A., cum laude, from Tulane University in 1977. He earned his J.D, cum laude, in 1981 from the Tulane University Law School.
